The Boryeong Mud Festival takes place in Boryeong, South Korea and according to the organisers, about 2 to 3 million domestic and international tourists visit the Daecheon beach during the festival. The mud, which is believed to have beneficial effects on the skin due to its mineral content, is sourced from mud flats near Boryeong.
