Announced in 2006,
construction on the tower began in 2010 and was due to be originally
completed in October 2012, but the completion certificate was only
recently approved by the Dubai Municipality. (Supplied photo)
The AED 1 billion project was completed after three years by UAE-based construction company, Arabtec. The designer of the tower is architectural firm Skidmore, Owings & Merrill. (Supplied photo)
