Obamas new home after White House

In several months, not only will President Barack Obama be out of a job, he'll be moving out of his current address and looking to move the family into a small, quiet abode. Well, maybe quiet, but apparently not small: they'll be leasing this property in D.C.'s Kalorama neighbourhood. The nine bed, eight-and-a-half bath home was built in the 1920s, according to the realtor Washington Fine Properties. The home is listed at $5,995,000, but as the Obamas will be leasing, it's unclear what they will be paying to stay there. See what the home looks like inside.

It's certainly smaller than the former residence of the Obamas, but the home should prove quite adequate for the family while they stay in Washington for Sasha to finish high school.

It may not be as famous as the front door of the White House, but it's still a lovely entranceway.

A sunny living room with a fireplace for those cold D.C. nights.

Glistening six-burner stove and stainless steel range hood.

Family room, located on the main floor (as opposed to the one located on the lower level).

The master suite, which features his-and-her ensuite bathrooms, and a dressing room.

 The bathroom "for her."

The dressing room "for her." Strange, it doesn't look like the home comes with a dressing room "for him."

The sixth bedroom has been set up as a home office -- nice, but a step down from the office Obama has been working in.

The listing suggests that the backyard is big enought to put in a pool, if the owner so desired.

 Rear patio of the home.

WASHINGTON, DC - MAY 21: (AFP OUT) U.S.President Barack Obama waves to the press as he departs the White House for his week-long trip to Japan and Vietnam, May 21, 2016, in Washington, DC. Obama will be the first U.S. President to visit Hiroshima, Japan and will also visit Hanoi.
