Kacper Kowalski — The 2009 World Press Photo Award winner, was born in 1977 in Gdansk, Poland. With a degree in architecture, as a photographer he specializes in aerial photography. Both a pilot and a photographers, he has unique control over each shot. As a result, he is able to capture perniciously unseen natural environments and ordinarily inaccessible cityscapes. For his photographs Kacper kowalski has received numerous awards and honorable mentions, including the World Press Photo award, Nikon 75th Anniversary Award, International Photography Awards (IPA), Sony worlds Photography awards, Picture of the Year International (POYI) Leica Oskare Barnack Award.
