Instead of throwing away the used pencil when it gets too short, resource-full designers offer to plant it in a pot. Once the pencil gets down to a non-usable stub, simply plant it into a pot of soil, add water and watch the seeded pencil turn into one of seven different herbs. Each pencil is constructed from sustain-ably harvested cedar wood, and can be used to grown you choice of basil, dill, mint, parsley, cilantro, sage, thyme and rosemary. Not to mention these pencils smell amazing. Handmade in Minnesota, the Sprout is a 100% non-toxic pencil that gives your writing device a second live, bring the the fun back to writing. One the plant sprouts, the pencil stub itself works as a marker as each pencil is labelled with the seed inside.
The seed capsule is water activated pencil, you are not allowed to get the pencil wet until you are ready to plant it, that includes not to chew on the tips the way you do with regular pencils.
